I've been a little quiet here. In part because I was just in my own head for a bit. Also, though, there were a few things stirring that I just didn't want to jinx.
It's been a very good couple of days.
Today, I received a very good job offer. Hooray! I go sign the papers tomorrow morning. It's pretty much exactly what I was looking for and seems a solid step forward, career-wise, especially if I'm to stay in this area. It's a consulting position, but the consulting agency is hiring me on as their employee, so I'll have benefits and all that. They just have to do a background check on me and then I'll be good to go. Luckily, that process takes a bit of time so I can probably get out of the city heat for a few days and get in a bit of a vacation. It's so much easier knowing there will be income at the end of it, versus burning a hole in my savings :)
Good apartment? Check. Good job? Check.
So, I'll add more details down the line or one-on-one. I just got back from a movie then a bit of a dinner celebration with a friend and I'm pretty darn spent. I also have to get up early tomorrow to get in a workout before I head down to the consulting office.
P.S.-- OH, and I also unpacked 5 boxes today :) Still a small bit to be done, but the "box corner" is now clear. Photos to follow.
