Taking a quick breather before I head out again. I had some running around to do this morning, got home, cleaned the house a bit (I love coming home to a clean house!), and am headed back out again in a bit.
My new business cards arrived today. Perfect timing since I'm going to try to get to a new jazz club tomorrow night. It's nice to have cards with current info on them. They're also much nicer than my old ones (oooh, shiny).
I'm going to try and dedicate a bit of Monday to some unpacking, although I have a bit of research to do, as well. I lost a lot of steam unpacking since my back doesn't like it, but I finally bought some storage containers, so I can start at least chipping away at the remainder. I don't have that many boxes left, but enough so that they're taking up a small corner of my apartment. It's just enough to be annoying, especially when the rest of the house is clean.
Tomorrow I'm headed out to at least one new venue. If I can get a few chores done in the morning, I might be able to squeeze in the Sunday brunch show downstairs, as well. Yes, I still haven't made it yet, despite such close proximity. They really should have consulted me prior to setting their schedule ;) The timing for both shows is surprisingly inconvenient.
Tuesday I'll be making my first trek to Jersey since I moved out here and my first ever not in a car. I'll be right along the water, though, which will be nice. I'll just be across the Hudson, which barely counts.
