Long Journey

Welcome from Canada. I'm on a mission in search of chill time (okay, including some gambling).

I took the train, which was beautiful. What wasn't so beautiful was that the trip was about 3 hours longer than estimated by Amtrak. And, after already passing border control, we still had to wait until everyone had cleared before we could get off the train.

That, however, is my only complaint at the moment (oh, add to that my hotel doesn't have wireless, but I'll get a data cable- no biggie).

I'm not sure what it is about my face that says, "upgrade me, free of charge", but I hope it never goes away.- love when this happens!

I'm sitting here looking at a massive jaccuzzi tub that's calling my name. Instead of the usual straight chair, there's a comfy sofa.

Alrighty... I had to get those few updates, now I'm off for a long bubbly soak followed by room service and perhaps some free money at the casino.

Side note: my cab driver was really cool. He lived in San Francisco for many years when the Haight was at its peak. He gave me some cool tips on where to go, what to see, etc. I love a good cabbie.
