I'm finally going to the Blue Note. I've been hearing about it for decades, so I'm pretty excited. Some friends and I are going to see Ann Hampton Callaway next week, someone who's been on my to-see list for a while now. Yay. Tickets are surprisingly cheap for a major house and with my AmEx card I get some sort of priority seating. Sweet!

- I'm a jazz musician (vocal), happy wife (yay!) and a non-traditional, slaving student (and loving it). I have a strong background in musical theatre, but most recently spent about a decade working in high tech, though I'm not your typical geek (not saying I'm not a geek, just different). I constantly feel the need for growth and learning new things. I am looking forward to being on both sides of that process as a teacher. I think once someone feels he has achieved perfection is the moment he stops feeling the need to strive for it and, thus, stops learning. I hope to never lose that internal drive. (I'm also the queen of parenthetical statements).
