I've signed my lease for another year. As much as the current economy has thrown in its challenges, it has made for less stress when lease time comes around. They're much happier to keep good tenants than to go for higher rents (I'm not under rent control).
I've toyed with going for a larger space than the one I have, but I do love my building, so am happy to go another year (or more). I have neighbors I know and like and it's very convenient, location-wise. I have several friends within blocks, as well.
I'm sure at some point I'll want to get to a less hustle-and-bustle neighborhood, but for now, I'm happy here. And we all know this city happily has its hold on me.
