Auld Lang Syne

2008, in a nutshell:

- I went to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (and learned I likely never need to do that again, even living a block from the route, although we had fun).

- I went to the New Orleans Jazz Fest.

- I bought a piece of real art that truly moved me.

- I settled into my new home even more, finding new friends and chosen family.

- I had a milestone birthday (we don't need details there, right?).

- I saw 56 shows and 77 movies in the theater. (thank goodness for comp and super-cheap tickets)

- I went to Niagara Falls for the first time. And won 10,000 pennies-- the most impressive $100 win ever (long story). AND got stopped in the casino and carded. The legal age is 19 there!! Not bad.

- We launched about 100 new sites at work (which was a LOT of work, and very rewarding to have finished).

- I saw one of my oldest and dearest friends finally get to marry his long-time partner, just before voting day in CA where prop 8 sadly passed.

- I met my dearest sisterchick's new son.

- I reconnected with several old friends, some of whom I'd really missed terribly.

- After a few months of scary tests and multiple biopsies, I was once-again cleared as still cancer free.
