It's official-- the New Orleans trip is now completely booked, including VIP tickets to the festival (how often am I going to do this in my life, after all?). Pretty sweet! We also got awesome deals on flights and a rental car, and the hotel seems nice, too. It feels nice to be able to spend some money there. I'm excited about the trip. I've never been.
Not too much else to report. I went out a lot this week, but nothing earth shattering. I've had a pleasant day, so far. I had brunch with RS and we hung at his place for the afternoon while we listened to music and planned our trip.

- I'm a jazz musician (vocal), happy wife (yay!) and a non-traditional, slaving student (and loving it). I have a strong background in musical theatre, but most recently spent about a decade working in high tech, though I'm not your typical geek (not saying I'm not a geek, just different). I constantly feel the need for growth and learning new things. I am looking forward to being on both sides of that process as a teacher. I think once someone feels he has achieved perfection is the moment he stops feeling the need to strive for it and, thus, stops learning. I hope to never lose that internal drive. (I'm also the queen of parenthetical statements).
