What an unbelievably peaceful morning. The past couple of nights, since I was taking some pain drugs and didn't have to awaken to an alarm, I popped in the trusty earplugs and sailed into sleep. Last night's was completely uninterrupted, which rarely happens these days (not from noise, just from restless sleep, in general). My apartment is wonderfully quiet, overall, especially considering where I live, but I do hear the occasional ambient noise in the hallway-- people coming and going, doors closing, etc.
I woke up at 6:30am (more my body's decision than mine). I took out my earplugs and it was just as calm and quiet as with them on. I love the early morning when the city is just on the edge of awakening and the streets are still. The sun isn't even up yet.

sounds wonderful :-) My sleep is forfet I figure till hes in his teens... Missing you here but your blog keeps me toasty and warm!
