Dem Bones, Dem Bones

It wasn't a bad day, just tiresome and physically irritating. I met my knew pain doctor this morning. I really like him a lot (at least so far). He's young and progressive. Again, I seemed to fall into good luck on the doctor front. Someone REALLY is looking out for me here. As he walked in the door, he actually reminded me a lot of my last pain guy, which was comforting from the get go.

So, really, most of the extra pain is just residual from the poking and prodding. Nothing the TENS and some strategic stretching won't help. It'll be better in the morning.

Current read: Life of Pi --- I've finally hit the good part. The first section was rough to plod through the character development. I could have done without probably the first third of the book. It gets a bit gory, which I didn't expect, not knowing what it was about (it was recommended to me, but I try not to learn too much about something before I see/read it, so as to experience it fresh). I have a couple of friends who are dying to have me finish so that we can discuss it, haha. Thankfully, it's not like when I read The Night Listener, where it took me about 3 months of meandering through the first half of the book getting to the hook (I read other things in between, of course, and frequently balance more than one book at a time). I think my friend A. was practically ready to read it to me from anticipation. Of course, once I got to the hook, it was read within the following 24 hours, haha (as she's reading this, I imagine she's probably nodding in agreement :) ).

As for the rest of the night, I have exciting plans of a shower, yummy leftovers for dinner, followed by trash TV, a muscle relaxer and quality time with the TENS (doctor's orders, although the trash TV is my addition).

Darling, I was thinking of the same thing right around "a couple of friends are dying have me finish it" and practically shouted "just like the Night Listener!" at the laptop... I've never read Pi, so am off to wikipedia to check out the plot. Miss you! -A.
