It's a Beautiful World

Being an extremely auditory person, music is important to me (massive understatement). If we're actually friends and not just passing acquaintances, I have at least one musical association to you. I'll hear the song, artist, etc. and you'll come to mind. Even some mere acquaintances have music associated with them in my mind. It could be absolutely nothing you've played for me or sung, and sometimes it's just what I've been listening to often the moment you truly became my friend.

People whom I might otherwise have long forgotten live on in music. Someone I haven't seen since I was 8 can still be brought immediately to mind at the sound of a specific old commercial jingle or song from the radio in those days.

The past couple of days, I've found Colin Hay extremely soothing. I've been listening to him a lot, especially in my more thought-filled moments. I'm referring to his solo acoustic stuff, of course.

There's someone who's recently come into my life who most likely will forever be at least a passing thought at the sound of this jangly guitar.
