It's been a pretty nice, relaxing weekend. Yesterday morning, I woke up early, puttered around the apartment, got some laundry done (mmm... clean sheets, duvet and jammies-- always a good combo), and then met a friend to see, "The Overwhelming". It might have been more appropriately called, "The Underwhelming". My laundry was more exciting. I'm sure there are those who may have enjoyed this, but I wasn't one of them. Had I not had a full night's sleep, I'm certain I would have caught up on counting sheep during the first act. We didn't give the second act that chance, choosing to escape when the getting was good. Typically, I'm one for sticking things out, optimistic there must be some redeeming value within a show, but patience just wasn't in me.
On my way home Thursday, I tripped. Nothing of my usual flair, but enough to twist my spine into even more that it's usual helix. That makes me even less patient about sitting for long periods of time.
Since yesterday afternoon, I've been pretty much in chill mode. I got up this morning and went for a nice little walk and just had a "me" day. I've got some Netflix ready to go and am debating ordering in, although I suspect at this point, I'll pull something healthy from the freezer and resist temptation for outside culinary delights.
I hope everyone reading had (or is still having) a nice weekend, as well.

Current read: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon, recommended by my friend, RS. I'm about 2/3 finished and loving it. I have the latest Chuck Klosterman waiting in the wings with much antici... pation.
