I made another residential step here today. I established myself with a doctor. Those of you who know me well know that this is a good thing and a milestone. I did the initial check-up/get-to-know-you visit today. I like her, so far. My friend's doctor, to whom I had been referred, wasn't accepting new patients, so I did a stab in the dark with the provider directory because I was running out of patience. I think I struck with some luck 'cause I think she might work out. I felt trusted as a patient, which I like. She ran a bunch of tests and I go back next week for the results. I think I will be able to lower the team of "ologists", too, which would be nice, and she gave me a referral for a couple others.
I also discovered I've lost about 20 pounds since I've been here, although I question the accuracy of her scale since it only feels like about 10 or so (I was even weighed wearing jeans, which I rarely allow to happen, lol). Yes, I've been trying and no, it didn't just magically fall off. Regardless, I've definitely felt my clothes fitting differently, which is nice. And I've gotten into some clothes that weren't fitting when I left California.
A little traction on the job front, but nothing major to report. Just a few irons in the fire.
